Jack Bentz is the founding artistic director of DXM. With DXM he has directed 12X12, A dozen short plays about 12 Avenue and The Tempest at NewHolly. He also wrote La Pastorela St. Joseph with residents of downtown Yakima. He was a company member of Seattle's Annex Theater and Book-It Rep Theater as well as acting and directing with Alice B. Theater, Intiman Theater, and Seattle Children's Theater and Greek Active. Jack has directed productions of Fences (Onyx Theater), The Saint Plays ( House of Charity), his own adaptations of Firewalk, The Long Loneliness and Xmas Corral. He was also the assistant to the resident director of Disney's The Lion King and directed and adapted the first Spanish production of Green Eggs and Ham (Huevos verdes con jamon).
